美國MTS擬動態試驗方法利用線上電腦運算來評估結構的抗震性能。這種測試方法對大型結構物而言，比振動台更經濟，而且可靠、有效。
MTS 提供完整的試驗系統，包括應用軟體，單軸向者係與University of Colorado/USA 合作開發，雙軸向者則與我國國家地震工程研究中心 (NCREE, National Center for Research on Earthquake Engineering/Taiwan) 合作開發。制動器匹配不同的油壓性能可適用於慢速 (Quasi-static)、快速(fast)或即時(real-time)的擬動態試驗。
